We came to Sintra hoping for sunshine and blue. Instead, the Palácio Nacional da Pena greeted us with thick fog. At first it felt like bad luck, but soon we realized how special it was: the colorful palace emerging from the mist looked mysterious, almost surreal.
Normally the Pena Palace is famous for its bright colors shining above Sintra. Hidden in the fog, it felt like stepping into a fairytale — calm, quiet, and completely magical.

Even without the panorama, the visit was very nice. If you ever travel to Sintra, don’t worry about the weather. The Pena Palace in the mist has a charm of its own.
